Chautara May 2006 to September 2008!

The gallery was founded by Beata Wiggen Van Amstel, vice-president of the German-Nepal Friendship Association, and long-time PR worker in cultural affairs.

For two and a half years the gallery existed on the lovely premises in Almere, the architectural city near Amsterdam. It was housed in the building of renowned architect Jos Abbo and a broad variety of shows took place during this time. Due to health reasons the gallerist decided to close down the gallery space and to continue to work via a home-office, also in Almere, for a couple of years.

The intention remains as always: we want to increase exposure and awareness of the contemporary art and artists of Nepal and enable them to become known within the Dutch and European art scene.

Help us spread the word, spread the beautiful images, and help us find appropriate spaces to organize showings of the many beautiful examples of modern art!

Warmest greetings,
